And I have the flu, so that's going to be the end of this recap. Let's just say they played as bad as I felt yesterday...
Oh, Peter Forsberg has been traded to Nashville. It's amazing that I watched ESPN for almost two hours straight last night, and an hour this morning, and the network, which prides itself on sports, had absolutely nothing about this trade! Oh, the humanity!
An interesting thing, though, in the TSN article:
The Predators sold over 2,500 tickets as of 3 p.m. CT Friday, including 25 new season tickets. This figure includes the remaining 500 tickets for Saturday's game, making the game a sellout.
Team officials said they hope the trade persuades more fans to show up, especially for the playoffs, where they failed to sell out any of their games in appearances the last two seasons.
That's kind of sad... The Canes even sold out their playoffs games, even with being in a "non-traditional market".
So, the Canes play Montreal tonight. Erik Cole may be in the game, according to the N&O. (My goodness, I hope so. He is a force to be reckoned with anytime he plays in Montreal.) But Justin Williams, Cory Stillman, and Bret Hedican are all unlikely. Yikes.
