Also in the Canes news file today, Ray Whitney had a successful shoulder surgery, and is expected to be able to play for the regular season.
In the Southeast Division file, Scott Mellanby announced his retirement today.
The second round of the playoffs is set, Vancouver squeaking in last night in a Game 7. More on that when I feel like it.
