Canes play the Islanders tonight.
The Canes have dropped both games against the Islanders this year, and the teams are only a point apart in the standings. The Canes are also only one point above Washington in the Southeast, making this game relatively important.
Meanwhile, there is an idea for a possible new configuration for the NHL - reducing the six divisions down to four, divided along time zones.
Ugh.
Look, I'm not a fan of the way things are scheduled now (playing everyone in our division 8 times gets kind of redundant), but changing the divisions themselves? I like the way things are arranged now - 3 divisions with five teams each.
That's it for now.
