Canes get four powerplay goals & win (hopefully not an anomaly)

Canes won 5-1 over the Islanders last night.

Four power play goals powered the Canes to victory last night, Erik Cole's second period goal being the only even strength goal.
Two fights last night as well, Scott Walker getting the better of Brendan Witt in the first, and Mike Commodore having an even fight with Witt in the third.

This is good. The Canes have won three in a row, with a possibility to win four tonight against the Florida Panthers. The power play appears to have gotten connected, and the Canes are currently 5th in the East, 3 points ahead of Washington, and only 6 behind Atlanta. If the Thrashers falter, and the Canes keep playing like they did last night, things will be looking good.

Canes play tonight.

Erik Cole stats: 1 goal
On the season: 14 goals, 20 assists
