Well, this is miserable.
And to think of the point lead the Canes had in the division earlier this season...
You realize that if the Canes had managed to win one more game - and I'm not just talking about in the last week, I'm talking about from October to April turning one of those games in the "L" column into a "W" - we would be in the playoffs right now?
Well, I guess there's always NASCAR to occupy my time.
*sob*
SEASON TOTALS:
Erik Cole stats: 22 goals, 29 assists = 51 points
Chad LaRose: 11 goals, 12 assists = 23 points

The finger is over the Panic Button...
Canes lost 4-0 to Tampa.
The Canes played like crap. Where was the offense? On vacation?
Tampa is now above the Canes in the standings. The Canes are in the 8th spot in the East, just above the playoff cutoff.
My finger is over the virtual panic button. It is taking me considerable restraint to not press the button, considering how crappy the Canes have played recently, and that the Canes are just two points away from going golfing in April.
I think if the Canes manage to lose to Boston Saturday, the panic button will be depressed and all virtual heck will break out around here.
You are warned.
In other, less anxious, news, the Canes are going to visit the President today. You can see Mike Sundheim's running blog here.

Wow. That game was horrible.
Canes lost 4-1 to Toronto.
Wow. That game was horrible.
The Canes had no defense, and very little offense. It is a tribute to Cam Ward that the Canes weren't down by worse, and that the Canes had actually scored a goal, especially after the first period.
How bad was the first period? The Canes had one shot per five minutes of ice-time, and that was including a power play.
The game was just crap. That's really all I can say.
The worst part was that Erik Cole didn't play because of a "lower-body contusion".
Canes had better get their act together soon.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Canes lost to the Coyotes 2-0.
A single word describes this game. Horrible.
Canes have been shutout for 131 straight minutes. This is not acceptable.
I'm trying really, really hard not to go on a psycopathic rant right now. So I have one thing to say to the Canes:
