A very quick recap of the past game:
Canes won their first of the year against the Lightning on Tuesday. They won it 2-1 in a shootout, with Samsonov and Ruutu connecting in the shootout to win it.
Good that it's a win, bad that Tampa played us to a shootout.
Next game is tonight (!) against Florida.

Did you know that Seidenberg went to the Kitties? I hadn't heard that until today via Chip's blog.
Yeah, I had heard that. They paid him something like 2.5 mil this year - far too high a number for his actual output.
