Southeast Division 4-evah!

So... the season ended yesterday. The playoff field is set, and the Canes are not in it.

This appalling fact leaves me in a slight conundrum. Who do I want to hoist the Cup this year?

Tampa Bay, I choo-choo-choose you! (Bonus points to those who can name the reference!)

Why? I'll give you my reasons:
- Tampa is in the Southeast Division. Perhaps three Cups in a row will begin to validate the South in the minds of the haters? (Doubtful, but it could happen.) Plus, the only other teams in the South are Atlanta and Nashville - I am definitely NOT cheering for Atlanta, and I don't like Nashville's third jerseys. (A credible argument on this blog.)
- For some strange reason I like Martin St. Louis. I think it has something to do with his sucess on my fantasy hockey teams - actually, now that I think about it, half the Tampa team was distributed throughout my fantasy teams...
- They don't have Dave Andreychuk anymore. I have no idea why, but I just didn't like him.

Of course, this pick isn't without it's downsides:
- John Tortorella (the coach). My perception of him is that he's a loudmouth idiot.
- They're jerseys aren't that pretty. (But a lot better than Nashville's third.)

In reality, this isn't really a pick for Tampa - it's a pick for the superiority of the Southeast Division.
