Game notes & etc.

Canes play the Flyers tonight.

The Hurricanes currently sit in the 8th place in the East, while the Flyers are last with only 8 wins.
I'd laugh at the Flyers, but I, as a Caniac, know that it's not fun to sit at the bottom of the standings.
I also know that the Canes are one point away from slipping out of the playoff picture, and that they better get their act together pretty soon to keep themselves in (or above, ideally) that 8th place.

The Canes will be without Kevyn Adams tonight, as he underwent a wrist procedure that will keep him out of the lineup 1-2 weeks.
Rod Brind'Amour is listed as day-to-day, but he practiced with the team on Monday.

The Flyers will most likely go without Peter Forsberg tonight, as Forsberg is recovering from a concussion. Good news for us.

The updated Eastern All-Star standings are out - Erik Cole is now 8th in the standings, a drop from last week.
C'mon Caniac (and NHL) Nation! We can't let three Buffalo players get in ahead of Cole! Vote now!
