Canes lost in OT 4-3 to the Islanders.
I listened to Chuck Kaiton's call of the Islanders game, while watching Game One of the World Series, so, needless to say, I didn't pick up as many details as I normally would have.
It sounded as if the Canes didn't really play until the 3rd period, when they scored 2 goals to tie the game, and then the go-ahead-goal. It seemed like a real come from behind victory reminiscent of last year until the Isles tied it with 3 minutes left. New York then scored 23 seconds into overtime.
3 of the Islanders' goals came on the power play. Not good.
Justin Willams had a two goal game. Good.
Canes finally come back home from the 7 game road trip on the 25th.
