Sendek leaving NCSU, sources say
Sendek agreed Saturday to become the new head coach at Arizona State, sources closely tied to the NCSU basketball program confirmed. Sendek met with ASU Athletics Director Lisa Love last week, was offered the position a few days later and reached a decision Saturday, sources said.
Several major media outlets, including CBS, The Associated Press, ESPN and Fox Sports also reported Sendek's departure based on unnamed sources. An announcement in Tempe, Ariz., could come today or Monday.
I honestly didn't expect this... I know a lot of fans wanted Herb Sendek gone, but I didn't think his job was that much jeopardy that he would take another job. And he's not getting that much of a pay raise to move cross country. *cough - relatively speaking*
So long ACC, hello PAC-10. Or whatever conference Arizona State's in. Anything besides the ACC is worthless... except no ACC team made it past the Sweet 16... oh well, whatever
