Ruuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!

The Canes signed Tuomo Ruutu to a 3 year contract that pays him 3 mil this year and increases to 4 mil the next two years.

I'm definitely glad that the Canes were able to sign him. Perhaps $4 mil is a little much, but if he continues to output the same offense and the physicality then I think it will be a good deal.

So, as of now, it appears the Canes only have remaining issues on the defensive end. A Kaberle buyout and another signing, perhaps?

I'll post whenever there's news of import - but considering this is the end of July, it might not be for a while.
