Canes set record, win 6-4

Canes won 6-4.

Pretty good game. Tampa scored first, but the Canes powered back with three goals (Staal, K. Adams, and my man Cole) in 43 seconds, a franchise record.

Tampa had a slight chance to come back in the second, but Scott Walker squashed that pretty quick with two goals of his own.

I swear that Tortorella must've payed the refs off in the second, cause some of those calls (and non-calls - the one that sticks out is Erik Cole getting pulled down on a breakaway) were complete crap.

The power play still has a lot to be desired - the 4 minute 5-on-4 in the third was complete crap.

The Canes won, played pretty good while winning, and, in the end, that's all that matters.

Erik Cole stats: 1 goal
On the season: 2 goals, 4 assists
