It appears as though Evgeni Malkin went AWOL with his Russian team. Malkin was drafted by the Penguins, and wants to play in the NHL. It also appears as though his team is taking the legal route to get compensation.
It just sounds wierd - a hockey player essentially fleeing his team, which he just renegotiated a new contract with, to come to America.
Meanwhile, things are looking down for the Packers. Already. Then again, this is the preseason... but still.
